Gearing up for Foundation

We are looking forward to an exciting year of fundraising for the Delta Gamma Foundation. The year will start with Aunt Hannah’s Kitchen – a great fundraiser for our alumnae chapter. Parents of collegians have the opportunity to pay for a birthday cake or finals basket for their daughters and generous alums donate a few minutes of their time to bake a cake (out of the box is just fine!) or assemble some goodies for a finals basket. If you would like to donate your efforts please contact Bonnie Cochran at bonnie.cochran@envisionus.com.

The annual Halloween Party with the collegians is Oct. 28th. If you would like to donate treats – homemade or store-bought – it would be greatly appreciated. Contact Bonnie Cochran at bonnie.cochran@envisionus.com for further information.

A new award will be given at Founders Day to recognize an alumna who donates generously of her time to the Delta Gamma Foundation and to the community around her. If you spend time volunteering for ANY group in or around Wichita, please let us know! In addition to qualifying for the Founders Day Award, the total number of hours volunteered by our local alums will be reported to Delta Gamma Executive Offices. EO wants to keep track of how we are continuing to “do good” after our collegiate years and we know there are dozens of Wichita alumnae who volunteer with Race for the Cure, the Sedgwick County Zoo, various retirement centers and much more. Contact Kristi Ham by Feb. 28 to report your service hours and qualify for the Founders Day award.

Just as the three young Founders decided in 1873, Delta Gammas strive to "Do Good," the motto remains the same today. Though the Founders could never have envisioned how much good those two little words would inspire. As an extension of the Fraternity, the Delta Gamma Foundation was incorporated in 1951 and exists solely for all members to work together to "Do Good" through this philanthropic, non-profit organization.
