Minutes for Delta Gamma exec meeting

November 9, 2006

Present: Jana Grisham, Mandy Pfister, Gina Knauff, Ann McCarty, Shana Herrman, Kristi Hamm and Holly Harrington

Absent: Karla Goewert, Alicia Israelson, Carol Womack, Jenni Glusek, Jill Crotty, Brooke Albright and Krista Rapp

Jana Grisham, President –
Jana reported that Emily Jones is considering the Membership position.

Jana announced that the wine tasting is tentatively scheduled for January 26. This date will be confirmed next week. Jamie from Jacob Liquor will confirm these dates next week. Jamie mentioned that he will suggest wine and cheese pairings. Jana suggested that those wishing to attend will need to pay prior to the event…more details to follow.

Jana will offer an incentive program to the Executive Board to encourage the board members to invite fellow DGs to Christmas Brunch. Jana will reward the board member who invites the most DGs with a gift.


Ann McCarty, Special Events -

Anne reminded the board that Christmas Brunch is scheduled for Saturday, December 2 at 10 am. The cost is $14 and she started mailing postcards the week of November 6th. Ann will arrange for a hostess gift and she invited Jana to arrive at 9:30 am and give the introductions and welcome.

Anne suggested that Alicia bring a list of members who have and have not paid their dues to Christmas Brunch and have table set up where attendees can pay their dues if needed.

Mandy Pfister, Panhellenic –
·Mandy extended a thank you to all of those who purchased greenery during the Panhellenic Holiday Greenery Sale Fundraiser.

·Mandy reported that the Panehellenic fundraiser at Mosley Street Melodrama on November 8 was a success. She reported that they had over 90 people in attendance and 18 represented Delta Gamma.

Shana Herman, VP Programming –
Shana reported that the turn out from the October DG Dining Out was low, however the next DG Dining Out is scheduled for Thursday, November 16 at Piztro’s Bistro. Jana will begin brining a camera to the DG Dining Out events to capture the fun events of these evenings of sisterhood. Shana will also begin keeping a list of who attended.

Gina Knauff, Lectureship –
Gina reminded the board that the Lectureship Series is scheduled for Monday, November 13th at the WSU Metroplex.
Gina organized a dinner for Barb Probst and Patricia Bradley and the speaker at Abelous at 5:00 on Monday, November 13th. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Gina noted that after the Lectureship Series, Mom Linda is hosting desert for everyone at the Delta Gamma House. Barb will play the piano and this will be a unique sisterhood opportunity.


Kristi Hamm, VP Foundation –
Kristi reported that the Halloween Party went well and we had 15 – 18 kids from Envision attend. The kids went trick or treating at all of the houses on Omega Court.
Kristi is checking with Krista Rapp on tips and tricks for the finals baskets program. Finals begin on December 11 and the Alumnae will gather at the DG House at 1:30 on Sunday, December 10 to assemble the finals baskets. Kristi encourages the board to donate items for the finals baskets. Also on December 10, the Alumnae will hold a Holiday Cookie Swap. More details to follow and Holly will produce a flier about this event to distribute at Christmas Brunch.
Kristi suggested that due to the size of the responsibilities of her office, that the board considers splitting the VP Foundation position into two chairs, 1) Fundraising and 2) Foundations. Jana said that she would look into this request and thought it was a great idea.


The following are reports from absent board members reported per Jana Grisham:

Alicia Israelson, Treasurer –
Alicia mailed $250 to Executive Offices.
$30 were annual dues
$20 was the annual web fee
$200 was the annual convention fee
On November 15, Alicia will send the federal tax form 990

Jill Crotty, Collumnae –
Initiation on October 21 went well. The cake was paid for with the budget. The class invitation idea did not work well this year, but we will try this idea again.

Carol Womack, Corresponding Secretary –
·No new updates

New Business

·The next meet Delta Gamma exec meeting will be Wednesday, December 13th at the Delta Gamma house.
